We're on our way!

Early morning flight, stop over in Dallas and we're in our way... So excited to finally be going!

Yep. That is ALL OF OUR LUGGAGE {we're both wearing small backpacks in this pic}. We're travelling carry on only - and I'm stressed already that I've brought waay too much stuff! It's going to be an adventure.

Ps. We're having a debate on the value of upgrading to first/business class. I vote it's worth about $100/hour of flight time. {So a 2hr flight is worth it of its a $200 upgrade.} Buuuut... I haven't quite shifted my mindset to someone with no job! What do you think??

  1. Yay - you're on your way! I would not upgrade - that is a lot of money!! As long as all the seats on the plane stay in the air they are all worth the same in my books. Don't be telling me that the extra space would be worth it when you plan on living on boats for a while! Use the time to learn how to manage in teeny tiny spaces. Good luck!!

  2. As long as I can get an aisle seat and an occasional exit row, i'm usually good with Coach. If it's a choice between a middle seat and first class though... I might pay. At 6' 1", some of these airlines just won't fit me on long flights! I don't know how the really tall guys do it.

Way to pack so light! We have two satchels and two 32 liter backpacks and have found that we have everything we need. The less the better when trudging through cities!

    Congrats on starting!

  4. I would only ever upgrade for an international flight, and seeing as I'm cheap, I think $300 is about the most I would pay! OK, maybe $500 if it's a REALLY long flight.

  6. Hey guys! Loving your blog! So many details and so much work! Well you are already there so who won the battle of the ticket? Your bank or the airlines! :)Nice photo of sea sickness! I forgot about that one until I saw it! Hopefully you guys will not be laying around like that while working! Maybe you won't be tempted to drink that much from your all-inclusive days in Mexico last March eh! Take care and keep in touch! Love you! xoxoxo :)
